I don't believe I've ever been this excited for a flash game. I rarely get this excited for any game.
Based on the trailer alone, this upcoming game looks leaps and bounds ahead of its predecessor. I've already pre-ordered the Sim Man edition of the game and I can't wait to play it. Words can't express how much nostalgic anticipation I felt watching this trailer.

The apparent game play and art can't even be compared to the original for how far this has come. The character customization looks amazing and the combat graphics blew me away.
Also, am I seeing things, or will you actually be able to make a female player character?

Regardless, I'll be counting down the days until I can experience this game. The trailer couldn't have been more masterfully pieced together. Thank you for coming back to Newgrounds, finishing the original and then giving us the promise of something far greater than any of us could have hoped for.

sim-man responds:

Thanks for your support. You can choose the gender of your character and have potentially gay and les relationships. We will give our best to make it the best dating sim ever.

Obviously it's unfinished, but it's a very amusing animation.
I hope that you'll submit the finished piece at some point.

me too, think i do this more often after i get me's new laptop

it's not awful... it's just not great.
first of all, you pair kid goku (on the flying nimbus) with Vegeta.
right there, you have an issue with the circumstance. while it doesn't really matter, the event taking place within your animation is impossible in the reality it comes from.
other than that, I feel as though you could have put more effort into Vegeta's Gallick Gun. it looks incredibly sloppy when compared to the rest of your art.

shredwerd responds:

I really appreciate the criticism, and I understand what you meant by the issues with circumstance. My idea was to completely throw off the viewer, as one wouldn't even believe vegeta would be in a world with kid goku, yet I used the style of kid goku from the GT series, so I guess you can kinda say vegeta was ok to be in there. You are right, I kind of rushed the later parts, which I really could have put more effort into the galick gun. Thanks for the review, I will take more time with my future submissions :D

a nice cross-over parody

first of all, the art style is a little bit sloppy... but I think you did that on purpose.
the voice syncing was done very well though, and the parody is incredibly amusing. as a huge fan of both Sanrio and the Dragon Ball series, I approve of this.

AngelXMIkey responds:

I thank you for your comment, and nice words lol

...what can I say?

first of all, I'll start on a good note. your use of sprites is fairly fluid. I could be wrong about this, but are you using the DBZ sprites from Jump Super/ulltimate Stars?
anyway, my biggest complaint is that this is incredibly unrealistic. the power of the Dragon Ball Z characters is enough to destroy planets. Mario is a bad-ass plumber... but he's not quite powerful enough to survive a punch from a Z-fighter.
last, a battle royale means all of the characters have to defeat one another. I can buy that some of them have teamed up temporarily, but your teams are unlikely... I don't see those characters teaming up to take care of the others.

dragonballzmariofan responds:

Yeah the power differences between the dbz & super mario characters also bugged me. I will try to solve the 'team up' by trying to let certain characters always fight for them selfes.
Thanks for the review.

very amusing

though I'm not typically a fan of math humor, this was pulled off very well.
I found the animation to be up to par and the voice acting to be really pleasant to my ears.
the plot, as I've stated, was also quite amusing.

CyanSandwich responds:

Thanks :D

very well animated

you animated this very well. needless to say, I love the music, but you didn't need to be very creative to find it :P
I'm a huge fan of the Elfen lied anime and if I hadn't seen it, this definitely would have intrigued me. I'm assuming that's what you're going for though.
in that, you definitely succeeded.
have you ever considered maybe animating your own fan-fic in flash form? it could be fun ^.^

mikuru15 responds:

thanx! and yeah i have considered it its just that unless i have a certain talent it wont get off the ground and unfortunetly im only average nothing special

random but amusing XD

you're certainly.... creative.
anyway, I like this. I just can't really tell you why.
is that sheep holding a cake? I guess it is a celebration e-card :P

Bychop responds:

Hi Zag,
You guessed right! It's a e-card :)
Thank you for review.

adorable, epic and pointless XD

I really enjoyed the homage you've paid to the original... however, I can't say that this is particularly profound.
I do really like the music for this version. it's, dare I say, almost as cute as the original.
furthermore, the animation is also quite adorable.

MaiKoraresu responds:

thank you!

it was cute...

while this certainly isn't the most well made flash animation I've ever seen, I have to admit that it's cute. you should probably make it a little longer too. I'd like to see the progression of the two characters' relationship... if it can be put that way XD

doppler73 responds:

I've actully been thinking that as well.

I'll make a sequel soon.
