Perhaps the worst Madness video I've seen, which is sad because I absolutely adore Battle Royale. To improve this, you would have to make the motions a lot smoother, remove the annoying background music and in my opinion, cut it down to only the vital moments so it's not quite so long. I would also recommend removing the voice acting from the film, because frankly, it doesn't work in this kind of medium. Subtitles very well may.

If nothing else, it's an interesting parody. The art and voices are exactly what I would expect from a video by The Clock Crew. However, the concept goes above what I typically see and this seems to have had more effort put into it than most other videos by the crew.

it's not awful... it's just not great.
first of all, you pair kid goku (on the flying nimbus) with Vegeta.
right there, you have an issue with the circumstance. while it doesn't really matter, the event taking place within your animation is impossible in the reality it comes from.
other than that, I feel as though you could have put more effort into Vegeta's Gallick Gun. it looks incredibly sloppy when compared to the rest of your art.

shredwerd responds:

I really appreciate the criticism, and I understand what you meant by the issues with circumstance. My idea was to completely throw off the viewer, as one wouldn't even believe vegeta would be in a world with kid goku, yet I used the style of kid goku from the GT series, so I guess you can kinda say vegeta was ok to be in there. You are right, I kind of rushed the later parts, which I really could have put more effort into the galick gun. Thanks for the review, I will take more time with my future submissions :D

a nice cross-over parody

first of all, the art style is a little bit sloppy... but I think you did that on purpose.
the voice syncing was done very well though, and the parody is incredibly amusing. as a huge fan of both Sanrio and the Dragon Ball series, I approve of this.

I thank you for your comment, and nice words lol

sequel of a classic...

each of these seems to be better than the last.
the animations are becoming smoother and the battles are becoming more creative.
not to mention that anyone who's a real member of Newgrounds has seen parts one and two.
absolutely amazing ^.^

...what can I say?

first of all, I'll start on a good note. your use of sprites is fairly fluid. I could be wrong about this, but are you using the DBZ sprites from Jump Super/ulltimate Stars?
anyway, my biggest complaint is that this is incredibly unrealistic. the power of the Dragon Ball Z characters is enough to destroy planets. Mario is a bad-ass plumber... but he's not quite powerful enough to survive a punch from a Z-fighter.
last, a battle royale means all of the characters have to defeat one another. I can buy that some of them have teamed up temporarily, but your teams are unlikely... I don't see those characters teaming up to take care of the others.

dragonballzmariofan responds:

Yeah the power differences between the dbz & super mario characters also bugged me. I will try to solve the 'team up' by trying to let certain characters always fight for them selfes.
Thanks for the review.

I really like this ^.^

I saw this on Deviant Art first, and I really liked it :D
actually, it's one of the best things you've posted (definitel the best video)
I'm also a huge fan of vocaloid and this was actually my first exposure to the song you chose.
as others have said, the sound quality isn't great but it gets the job done. it certainly isn't impacting my score.

far better than episode one XD

a fairly original parody of DBZ. Certainly more original than most I've seen on Newgrounds anyway.
while not incredibly original overall, the idea of making a series using a child's imagination is a fairly new idea, at least, in the world of flash. at least, I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be a child...

amusing...

while I am amused, I can't say that this is without fault.
first of all, I don't really need to commend on the art. even I could draw this well (and I'm not what you would call an "artist")
also, at one point when a wooden pole falls on our protagonist, it appears as though he's somehow on top of the pole (which physically, doesn't really make a whole lot of sense)
again, I was amused though and I see that this isn't meant to be a masterpiece.

one of my favorite anime

I've yet to finish it, but I really love what I've seen of Berserk.
furthermore, the beginning theme is amazing (which of course, is the song you used)
the animation in this isn't bad either, and being an avid fan-girl, I just like the fact that you paid homage to such a great series.
