nothing is truly evil for in at least one persons mind everything we humans do is good and will not be thought of as evil for example murder can be rationalized by some for reasons unknown to others or incest can be ratioanalized by the ones commiting it so it truth evil doesnt truly exist

that's partially true anyway... true evil exists within one person for something, even though through new eyes, that same event may be perfectly natural.
but my real question is, how do certain things become evil that aren't directly harmful to society or the people within it?
because yes, society's find certain acts evil... that much is obvious.
evil is opposite of good, short answer i believe in God and what God said is evil its because he created everything and really who are we to argue with the creator. Evil is merely a perception made by man/god. In one society, an evil act is completely acceptable and good to another. Of course, in most societies, murder is considered an evil act.
In truth, morality was developed so a society can live.
