belief

Posted by zag - July 28th, 2011

Hello there person who has happened upon my page.
I decided not too long ago that my next Newgrounds post would be about belief (so here we are!)
anyway, I'm an omnist. in case you're not aware of the term, that means that I believe all of the gods exist.
however, my particular beliefs are a bit deeper than that. I believe that in the beginning, there was nothing (who I interpret to be the Shinto god, Amatsu Mikaboshi)
however, nothing mutated and created the illusion of reality. within this illusion, there were beings with some sort of consciousness. through the power of thought, they were able to create parallel realities through their own creativity. each of the beings in the new reality also had that power until eventually, a near infinite number of realities were born.
that is the origin of reality. few other religions have been able to answer that particular problem (of a god's birth) but I've managed to do so (so... I'm fucking proud!)
then we come to earth. here, we have more beings with the ability to think.
these beings decided to create gods to worship, since they didn't know from whence they came (like various other beings in different realities have also most likely done)
by doing this, the gods that we know to be were given birth. in other words, I believe that mortals gave birth to gods rather than gods creating mortals.
those gods (in my belief system) exist in order to gather human souls, which give them their power. they do this through gaining belief and worship from the humans who give it to them.

anyway... that sums up the surface of my beliefs.
how about you? any thoughts or metaphysical theories which explain the reality around us?
these "thoughts" can either be your own, or beliefs that you've gathered from your parents (and of course, society)

i've never talked to a tranny, but you seem pretty cool on the forums.

nice to meet you :)

honestly, I've always thought you seemed pretty kool as well ^.^
so if I may ask, what are your beliefs?
few better ice-breakers than religion :P
just for the record, I'm incredibly open minded. I'm more mature than to hate or severely judge a person for their beliefs.

Your beliefs are cool with me. I dont judge anyones perception of reality. I dont care how one lives their life. We are all different and we have to live a way that is more comfortable for us.

it's up to each of us to define the world around us afterall ^.^
anyone who hates another person for their interpretation is too arrogant to admit that they might be wrong.
and I have nothing more than a theory. no one really has anything more than theories (at least, I don't think so)
so how about you? what is your interpretation of the world around you, if you have one?

My beliefs are that the next person to get me food will be my god for a day.

*hands you an e-cookie*
that probably doesn't count, does it? XD
anyway, I'm glad to see that you actually left a comment :)
(yay! discussion is expanding!)
now if only I was a little more popular :(

Shush Jesus.

^.^

I can't judge anyone based on religion, because mine's so messed up.
I believe in a higher power and intelligent design although i do believe humans among other things and adapt and evolve to a degree. I believe in fate, chance, and karma. I also think that belief allows the existence of something to a degree a.e. morality. It is not set in stone although how we act and treat each other supports this, it only works as long as we believe in it. Like, the fact that i am christian, i would go to heaven, were i atheist, i would cease to exist. It's extremely hypocritical

actually, that's a large part of what I believe in as well.
I suppose I forgot to mention what a god does once they have a person's soul, didn't I? XD
through the presumption of my belief system, I believe that any particular god uses a soul however the god stated they would within their religious text. in other words, a good christian goes to heaven, a bad christian goes to hell (a good or bad christian being defined by how closely they followed a particular god's will and obviously, that's only one example)
however, I believe that atheists are reincarnated in some way. I believe a soul can fade from existence or be destroyed, but it's a lot rarer than all atheist souls just ceasing to exist.
anyway, a person's particular beliefs pave their own fate.
when I created that news post, I was way too tired.
thank you for helping me fill in a huge hole that I left in my system's portrayal.
even if I misinterpreted what you were trying to say through my exhaustion, your comment still helped me finish my thoughts.

hopefully this piece of text also makes sense. I'm becoming rather tired again so I apologize profusely if I'm being unclear in some way.

either way, I'm fairly certain I'm rambling XD

TL;DR
you helped me complete my thought. thank you :D

Humm my interpretation? Well I truly believe in what goes around comes around. And we ALL should treat each other with respect. We dont have to like on another but love someone to repsect them. Like i said before it does not matter how y ou are living your life. As long you are happy. It sad sometimes that people dont understand certain lifestyles and beliefs. If its not right to them then its evil. Certainly not. Im a Christian and one thing God has taught me is that you should love everyone no matter who they are. But you dont have to accept thier lifestyle but you should respect the person. Wow i have a lot to say about all this.

you're fairly open minded :) I like that...
you don't necessarily have to accept a lifestyle, but more often than not, you have to tolerate it.
the people I'm closest to seem to accept my choices ^.^
at least there's that.
anyway, thank you for sharing :D

also I agree with HasJoinedYourParty

he had a really good point that actually summarized part of my own belief system as well.

I am quite the opposite it seems. I believe in nothing.

there's nothing wrong with believing in nothing.
when it comes down to it, none of us really have any idea anyway. all we have are glorified guesses.
even so, isn't t boring having absolutely no belief?
there's nothing wrong with it but I could never live like that.

I say, if it makes you happy, there's nothing wrong with it.

if it makes you happy!!!
it can't be too bad.

....*cough cough* I agree.
